Thankful, Thankful, Thankful!

Thanksgiving was great this year, despite missing my sister and her family a ton! In the morning my dad brought over a fresh baked apple pie to us...YUM and yes I did have that for breakfast :). He stayed and chatted with us for awhile. I enjoyed our chat very much and didn't realize how much I have missed him. It was a great morning.

Our afternoon was spent at my Tia's house where we all took family pictures, including some with my grandmother...very special, I can't wait to get those pictures back so I can post. After pictures and before eating we all sat around the table and my cousin Sausha had us all say one thing we were thankful for. It was hard to just think of one thing so most of us said more than 1. I said I was thankful for experiences this year, the great and not-so-great ones. Of course I ended with giving thanks for our Savior Jesus Christ, it would not seem like Thanksgiving withour including the reason we are all gathered here. Then we ate...YUMMMMMM! I enjoy eating the special foods that usually we only have on Thanksgiving day (Probably because of all the wonderful calories that go along with all those special foods). I enjoyed being with all of my family this year (well almost all, Miss you Jen a tons!).

For the evening we were off to have round 2 at my inlaws. I have the best inlaws ever. She makes a wonderful Ham and veggies that are quite YUMMY! Oh and there is enough cider for everyone including the kids to have their own bottle! Then we usually plop on the couch for movies. This year it was Up and Star Trek. Star Trek, I must say, was not bad! Great evening, and I love being with my other Family.

Thankful to my Heavenly Father with blessing me with a Great hubby, 3 wonderful wonderful children, who are healthy and happy. Mostly for blessing me with a Savior, who without him we wouldn't be able to live with our Families forever and ever and ever. Greatful for the experiences that we have been through this past year. Greatful that I know my hubby and I can withstand some pretty tough times and still come out loving eachother more than ever! Love you Honini!

Date Night

Gabe and I went to the LA Temple last night. We got there at 7:30 and thought for sure we missed the last session. Turns out that they had the last one at 8:30 so we made it with time to spare and decided to do sealings. We barley made it for the last sealings and the officiatior stayed 15 minutes later for us to participate in a couple more...greatest feelings filled the room. I think my new motto for married couples who want to get closer to each other is to go to the temple often and participate in Sealings...it reminded me of our sealing and those feelings rushed back. I'm so grateful for our Date night to the LA Temple!

Draper Temple Open House Night!!

We were so excited to finally get a night out with our family!! We parked at a church building and saw a video on Temples, then we hopped on a bus and went to the beauitful Draper Temple in Utah. It was absolutly georgeous and I think one of our favorite moments was when we as a family looked into the mirrors in one of the sealing rooms and saw that our family went on and on and on, just as it will in the eternities!!! It was great to see our childrens faces as they looked into the mirrors!! If that wasn't enough to make our night great, while we were leaving the temple to go into the reception, I turned around and saw Sister Beck the Relief Society General President!! I was so excited to meet her and she actually came up to our family in the reception. We had a great night and it was wonderful for our "gems" to see inside the house of the Lord.

Santa was here!

Santa came early this year. At first glance baby Gabriel ran away! Vanessa and Emmy were so excited to have Santa in their living room; and of course my camera was nowhere to be found. Maybe Santa will re-create the evening when I find my camera. Nonetheless, our house hold was very excited to have the special visitor in our home.

This was at one of my hubbies concerts

I am getting with the times!

Well everyone, it is official! I am finally a blogger! If I knew what that truly entails, then maybe I would elaborate; considering I just started, and my husband did all the work, I guess I will leave it at that; I am finally a blogger!
